Power Motive Corporation’s Repair And Maintenance Program (RAMP) covers repairs and maintenance at a fixed cost. This eliminates unexpected bills and assures maximum availability and performance. From hydraulic leaks to engine failures, with RAMP your machine is repaired at no additional cost. RAMP includes fluids, parts, labor, travel time, and mileage for covered items. RAMP offers:

 

What Does RAMP Cover?

RAMP covers preventative maintenance according to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) recommended intervals. Fluid sampling and analysis are included and provides levels of particulates and various metals, critical information to identify potential problems before they become critical. Items covered based on these intervals include:

RAMP covers repairs, rebuilds, and replacement for all covered items. Covered items include, but are not limited to:

check  Powertrain – engine, transmission, torque converter, finals, differentials, brakes, coolers, pumps, and drive lines
check  Hydraulics – pumps, motors, coolers, hoses, pipes, valves, swing boxes, and cylinders
check  Electrical Systems – harnesses, wiring, controllers, relays, monitoring panels, and alternators
check  Structural – cab, main frame, loader frame, engine frame, swing bearing, trunnions, boom, stick, linkage, and castings
check  Other Items – V-belts, air conditioning, heater, and controls

 

What Does RAMP Not Cover?

RAMP does not cover wear items and items that are damaged by the customer. Typical wear items include tires, GET (e.g., buckets, rippers, and blades), undercarriage, pins, and bushings. Items that are physically damaged (e.g., broken glass, mirrors, rims, and handrails) are not covered. The customer is responsible for daily lubrication, maintenance, air filter changes, and fuel filter changes as necessary between the scheduled service intervals.

 

Scheduled Service

PMC schedules preventative maintenance and planned repairs according to OEM specifications, ideally using factory telematics systems which integrate GPS and remote diagnostics and come installed on new machines. In addition to tracking equipment location and hours, telematics systems such as Komatsu's KOMTRAX also provide the most up-to-date technical information available for your equipment. KOMTRAX also transmits error codes and cautions, so PMC can diagnose problems and arrive onsite with the proper testing equipment and tools, reducing downtime.

Billing

The RAMP agreement is billed monthly at a fixed hourly rate, based upon actual machine usage, and derived from the onboard telematics system. If the machine is not operating, there is no charge. The monthly usage is derived from the KOMTRAX system. The hourly rate will be subject to an annual escalation factor, based on the U.S. Department of Labor Producer Price Index (PPI) for construction or mining equipment.
